Jobs
Attacking remote human sustainability is a huge challenge, and doing it right will require a lot of dedicated domain experts!  So do let us know how you can help.

We seek additional team members; primarily engineers who can think far enough outside the box to question and reinvent everything about the boxes we live in. We need expert help with mechanical design, thermal and wind modeling, industrial design, composite materials, electronics/software, off-grid infrastructure, appropriate technologies, and manufacturing engineering – full-time, part-time, and project areas include:

Mechanical/Industrial Engineer:
  • Turn sheltering challenges into technical breakthroughs, design components and assemblies in 3D CAD, model and test system performance, and produce production documentation, web site illustrations, and 3D demonstrations.
Electronic Systems Engineer:
  • Develop and integrate microelectronic control systems and software enabling users to efficiently manage low-cost, low-energy family-scale utility systems.
  • Develop and integrate low-cost, low-impact systems for remote power, lighting, battery charging, and other electrical needs that free users from electricity supply chains.
Materials/Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Develop panel materials optimized for Flexayurt shelters, sustainable methods to produce them efficiently, and vendor supply chains capable of rapid scaling.
Resource Systems Engineer:
  • Develop and integrate fuel-efficient and carbon-negative thermal systems for heating, cooling, cooking, and waste processing.
  • Develop and integrate low-cost, low-energy systems for collecting, storing, purifying, heating, dispensing, and recycling water.
This describes some immediate needs we see, but don't let that limit you if you think we need something you can do really well.
