Equipment Shelters

Problem:
tower-on-hillInstalling communications gear and sensors often requires a shelter to protect expensive and sensitive equipment as it operates, but conventional slab foundation equipment sheds are costly and challenging to deploy in remote locations.

Solution:
A ship-flat shed that can be dropped on a mountaintop by helicopter and deployed in minutes to enable equipment operation in extreme environments. By isolating the interior thermal environment from the exterior, our automatic solar-powered ventilator can exploit the equipment's own waste heat to maintain operating temperatures in cold climates, or flush waste heat into the cool ground to keep gear running smoothly in the hottest desert sun.

Benefits:

  • Faster delivery, less bulk, faster set-up.
  • Reusable in temporary installations.
  • Powers light electronics, and integrates with external power sources.
  • Maintains specified equipment temperature ranges with far less power.
